Easy Lesson Plan Development
Use the web-based app to build, edit and manage your lesson plans in our Show-Explain-Ask framework. Here you can infuse your lesson plans with media elements & videos (things you want to show), notes & examples (things you want to explain) and real-time assessments (things you want to ask).
Project videos, images, documents, questions, notes, real-time scribbles/annotations and more to large screen surfaces using the built in projection feature. Note: iOS users can mirror content using Apple TV or Airserver. Android users can enable projection by logging on to https://goclass.com/project/login.aspx using a laptop which can be connected to a Projector.
Use the broadcast feature to send content & media, videos, assessments and more directly to student devices or pair it with the projection feature to engage students with multiple screens.
Perform formative assessments in-class and gain real-time feedback on student & class comprehension. This insight allows you to quickly alter lesson plans to address knowledge gaps and common misconceptions. You can even take a poll to gauge student opinions or reactions. All assessments and polls can be timed.
The scribble feature allows you to annotate images and explanations in free hand form creating a virtual chalkboard that can be broadcasted and shared with students or projected to the front of the class.
Shared White boarding
Expanding on the scribble feature, the shared white boarding feature allows you to virtually call on students to participate in the discussion by completing a problem, labeling a diagram and more. Best of all, each shared exercise is stored on all student accounts for future reference.
Create Activity Feature
The Create Activity feature allows you to easily create instant polls and multiple choice or short answer assessment questions.
Classroom (or device) Management
Take advantage of built-in classroom management features that allow you to time lectures, assessments and more to ensure you stay on schedule. Track student participation via a popup alert that notifies you immediately if a student leaves your session. This information is also documented and logged on the web-based app. You can also use the application to restrict browsers and ensure that students are only seeing what you want them to see.
GoClass automatically records attendance when students join your session. This information is also archived and stored on the web-based app for future reference.
Reports capture key information on individual student and class progress giving you insight into the learning process and documentation to share with administrators, parents and more. You can also track the performance of lesson plans and individual learning elements making it easy for you to monitor effectiveness of learning content and your teaching approach.
Post Session Access to Lesson Plans
GoClass captures and packages each lesson plan along with any shared white boarding exercises in the context in which they happened. This means your students have access to the entire in-class learning experience when they go home to study.
Your students can quickly bookmark content for later review by hitting the star button.
Use the flipped classroom feature to schedule assignments such as reading content, watching videos, interacting with supportive media and more prior to class. Then use your in-class time to discuss the assignment and reinforce understanding. The flipped feature even tracks how long each student spent within each assigned question giving you valuable insight into each student’s participation.
Students can take and store notes alongside your lesson plan elements. This means they no longer have to worry about losing notes—they stay completely tied to entire class sessions and can be accessed via the cloud-based or web-based application.
Students can annotate on top of your elements and store for later reference.
